Finance Professional with a Strong Affinity for Mathematics and the Exact Sciences
My professional career has centred on working with companies, business clients, accountants and other stakeholders, with a particular focus on financial analysis, credit risk and assessing the financial position of businesses. I have extensive experience working with financial statements and the underlying data, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and other components of annual financial statements. I have analysed financial performance, liquidity, indebtedness, profitability and resilience, as well as the underlying rationale and risks associated with different business models. My experience across the financial and banking sectors has taught me to look beyond what the numbers show and ask why they show it. For me, financial analysis is not a mechanical exercise in reviewing financial metrics. It is a way of understanding how a business actually operates, what drives its performance, where its resilience lies and where genuine risk begins. My professional experience includes financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and the analysis of revenue, expenditure and key business performance indicators. This experience is complemented by qualifications in Financial & Credit Analysis and Economics and Information Technologies, together with practical experience as a Credit Risk Officer in the banking sector. I have professional working proficiency in English and German, as well as basic proficiency in Russian. In my work, I value accuracy, integrity, clear communication and sound reasoning. I do not believe in embellishing information or concealing problems behind complex terminology. I prefer things to be called what they are, facts to be verified and conclusions to follow from the evidence. For me, professional competence is not simply about knowing the answer. It is about asking the right question, seeing the wider picture and maintaining independent judgement when taking the easier option would be more convenient. I believe in objective assessment over assumptions, evidence over assertion and facts over convenient versions of reality. When there is a problem, I would rather identify it early and address it clearly, even when that leads to a less convenient conclusion.
